Weekend Update

Dear Resident,

Please mark your calendar for upcoming events.  Our Fall Holiday Market, the largest of the year, will be held on Sunday, November 24. The following Sunday, December 1 is our 15th annual multi-cultural day and December 18 is our annual Holiday Lighting.  Please see below for details and other events. 

Stage 3 Fire Restrictions continue and the State has been upgraded to a Draught Warning.  No water restrictions are in place, however resident are strongly encouraged to reduce water use. Saturday from 7am to 6pm we are under a ‘Fire Weather Watch’ for gusty winds and low relative humidity. Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly.  Please see below for more. 

EVENTS/PROGRAMS

Pajama Drive for Children in Foster Care – Town employees are asking for residents to join them as they hold a Pajama Drive this holiday season.  Donations of pajamas in youth and adult sizes are requested.  New with tags, please.  Donations boxes are at Town Hall and the Rec Center until December 6. We thank you for your support as we help those in need.  FLYER

Fall Holiday Market – Our Fall Market will be held Sunday, November 24.  It is the perfect time to stock up for your Thanksgiving table, ensure a winter stockpile of your favorites and begin your holiday shopping.  Visit our social media pages @MarlboroFarmersMarket and our website HERE.

Kids Night Out – December 13 from 5:30 – 8:30 pm Marlboro High School in the cafeteria.  Registration required.  FLYER.

Leaf Collection Has Been Scheduled by Zone – The email sent to all registered can be found on the top of the Township website and linked HERE.  

Bus Drivers –Marlboro school district is seeking bus drivers.  Training provided.  Call 732-972-2118 for more. 

PUBLIC SAFETY

Department of Police Records will be CLOSED for training on Tuesday, November 19. Accident Reports may be retrieved on line by visiting www.marlboropd.org and clicking on ‘download your accident report’.  Otherwise please leave a voicemail at 732-536-0100 Ext. 1423 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. NJ Stage 3 Fire Restriction & Drought Warning –We remain under the NJ Forest Fire Service Fire Restriction statewide due to the extreme drought conditions.  The following are NOT permitted: bonfires, any open flame or flame producing device, discharge of fireworks, open flames in an outside setting.  Dispose of cigarette butts in a proper receptacle.  Additionally, the state elevated our status to a drought warning.  No restrictions are in place, but residents are asked to conserve water. Deer Rutting Season – Peak Season is mid-October to mid-December, dusk to dawn. They tend to travel in packs and dart across roads quickly.  Please slow down and be vigilant. Vehicle/deer accidents can do real damage.  If you do see a dead deer on the roadside, please call the police non-emergency number at 732-536-0100. They will report it to the correct authority, who generally has 72 hours to remove. DEP Deer Mating Season

TOWN MEETINGS

All Town meetings are posted on the Township website ‘Upcoming Events’ Calendar linked HERE.  Agendas, where applicable, are posted to the website not less than 48 hours in advance of the meeting and are linked to the calendar event.  The following Council/Planning/Zoning meetings are upcoming. Other meetings can be found on the calendar.  From time to time, meetings are cancelled and notice is posted to the calendar event.
