Weekend Update – New Year Edition
Dear Resident,
In observance of the New Year, Town Hall offices and the Recycling Center will both be closed on January 1. As always, the police are open 24/7 and can be reached at 732-536-0100. Emergencies dial 9-1-1.
Emergencies do not take a day off and we acknowledge those that sacrifice time with friends and family to keep us safe. Please join me in thanking our Police, Dispatch, First Aid Squads, and Fire Departments who serve us 24/7. Our Office of Emergency Management and Department of Public Works are on call. We thank our medical frontline serving in all aspects of healthcare. Last, and certainly not least, we thank the enlisted who are separated from their families for long periods of time as they protect the freedoms we hold so dear. To those that serve and their families, we thank them for their service and sacrifice.
PUBLIC NOTICES
Christmas Tree and Bagged leaf Collection – Bagged leaf and Christmas Tree collection will be held in January. Leaf bags are available free of charge to any resident and lawn debris may be brought to the recycling center throughout the year at no cost. Additionally, as we get into the winter months, curbside collection may be postponed at any time due to inclement weather and notice will be made via email, website and social media. Youth Exchange Program – Learn more about this exciting opportunity at the informational meeting on January 10, 2024. HERE.
Marlboro Recreation – Think summer! Applications now being accepted for camp and swim club. Youth classes programs to begin the end of January and classes for adults 60+ underway. MORE.
PUBLIC SAFETY – UPDATE
Message from the Office of Chief Pezzullo - Please see the Chief’s email HERE regarding the holiday season uptick in attempted motor vehicle thefts and residential burglaries to obtain key fobs. As always, lock your car doors, take the key fobs inside, remove garage door openers, lock your house doors/windows and set alarms. Do not leave your keys easily visible/accessible. If you see anything out of place or suspicious call the police at 732-536-0100. For crimes in progress dial 911. Hometown Heroes Banner – Marlboro Veterans and Volunteers Committee announces Honor Hometown Hero banners. Heroes can include past and resent Armed Forces personnel and First Responders. FLYER
COVID-19 Ratepayer Measures provide relief to ratepayers experiencing economic hardship during the COVID-19 pandemic. The NJ Department of Community Affairs has developed a low income household water assistance program. Please review the letter from the Marlboro Water Utility HERE.
