Weekend Update
Dear Resident,
We are in the final weekend of October and Sunday is the last day for the Marlboro Farmers Market regular season. From 9am – 1pm, the market is celebrating Halloween with a children’s craft table, spooky drink specials from Nessie Tea and free pumpkin from Peck Farms (while supplies last). Rabies Clinic - Saturday, 10/26 at 10am – noon at the Marlboro Middle School is the free, drive through clinic for dogs and cats. No appointment needed and paperwork will be given at clinic.
Marlboro High School Homecoming –Saturday, 10/26 Saturday, Marlboro High School’s Homecoming football game is at 12pm. There will be fun activities for families at our Homecoming Festival that starts at 10am on the Marlboro High School baseball field. Admission is free to all! FLYER

School Road East CLOSED – Tuesday, October 29, School Road East will be closed from 9am to 3pm. Detours will be in place and Police will be on site to assist motorists.
Senior Freeze Deadline October 31 - New Jersey's Division of Taxation "Senior Freeze" can provide eligible senior citizens and disabled people reimbursements for any increases on their main residence. The filing deadline for 2023 applications is October 31, 2024. For more visit: NJ Division of Taxation
Leaf Collection to Be Scheduled – Curbside, piled leaf collections will be scheduled when we see what the weather will bring. Do not places leaves curbside at this time. Loose leaves on the road block storm drains, exacerbate flooding and are a danger to vehicles and pedestrians, and blow back onto yours and your neighbors’ lawns. The schedule will be sent via email and posted on the website when it is determined. Leaves and brush are accepted at the recycling center throughout the year with no fee or permit.
General Election Update – You may request a VBM ballot until October 29. Early Voting on a machine begins Saturday, October 26 and you may vote at any of the 10 Monmouth County locations (detailed in letter). NJ Stage 3 Fire Restriction –The NJ Forest Fire Service, has implemented a Stage 3 Fire Restriction statewide in response to prolonged dry conditions and increased wildfire activity. All fires in wooded areas are prohibited unless contained in an elevated stove using only propane, natural gas, gas or electricity. Charcoal fires, any open fire on the ground, tiki torches or any device that cannot be immediately tuned off are prohibited. Dispose of cigarette butts in a proper receptacle. Additionally, a drought watch was issued for the state. No restrictions are in place, but residents are asked to conserve water. Let’s work together to keep our homes safe. Learn MORE
Deer Rutting Season – Peak Season is mid-October to mid-December, dusk to dawn. They tend to travel in packs and dart across roads quickly. Please slow down and be vigilant. Vehicle/deer accidents can do real damage. If you do see a dead deer on the roadside, please call the police non-emergency number at 732-536-0100. They will report it to the correct authority, who generally has 72 hours to remove. DEP Deer Mating Season
