Weekend Update

Dear Resident,

The heat wave and storm pattern seems to have fortunately passed for the moment, but this week again brought excessive heat warnings and severe thunderstorms.  It bears repeating that the time to prepare is before a storm or severe weather hits.  Please review the information and links sent via email (HERE) and ensure that you are your family are prepared. 

The Marlboro Farmers Market is open every Sunday 9am – 1pm. Nearly 30 vendors featuring seasonal fruits and vegetables, pickles,  cheese, soaps, fresh cut flowers, dog treats, crafters and more.  Notice of weekly vendors, market updates and more are shared to social media @MarlboroFarmersMarket and our website HERE .

PUBLIC NOTICES

Wyncrest Road Traffic Alert ROAD CLOSED - Sunday, July 21 from 8am to 11am, Wyncrest Road from Route 520 to Robertsville Road will be closed for a 5k run. Surrounding roads will also be affected.   Detours will be in place and police on site.  Please avoid the area if possible.

Marlboro Recycling Calendar – A reminder that the August calendar dates were misprinted.  The recycling days are unaffected and the correct calendar can be found on the website and linked HERE.  

Marlboro Home Improvement Program – If you live in Marlboro, own your home and your income falls below the limit, you may qualify to participate in this program.  See the FLYER

Marlboro Day – Our 40th annual Marlboro Day will be held on September 8 and sponsor and vendor opportunities are available now.  Don’t wait as this event fills quickly.  Marlboro Day welcomes thousands of visitors and is a great opportunity to promote your business.  FLYER

Swim Club Family Fun Night – Friday July 26 from 5-8pm.  Non-members welcome. Residents $10pp and non-residents $15pp.  Members free.  DJ, games, prizes.  Registration required.  See FLYER

PUBLIC SAFETY

Domestic Violence Response Team (DVRT) -Work with law enforcement to provide confidential support to domestic violence victims at police headquarters. Free training is provided.  Fall training dates to begin in October. FLYER

TOWN MEETINGS

All Town meetings are posted on the Township website ‘Upcoming Events’ Calendar linked HERE.  Agendas, where applicable, are posted to the website not less than 48 hours in advance of the meeting and are linked to the calendar event.  The following Council/Planning/Zoning meetings are upcoming. Other meetings can be found on the calendar.  From time to time, meetings are cancelled and notice is posted to the calendar event.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

COVID-19 Ratepayer Measures provide relief to ratepayers experiencing economic hardship during the COVID-19 pandemic.  The NJ Department of Community Affairs has developed a low income household water assistance program.  Please review the letter from the Marlboro Water Utility HERE.
