RE: Tropical Rainstorm Debby
UPDATE #2 – 3:00 p.m.
Dear Resident,
Our threat for rain has substantially diminished, however we remain under a Wind Advisory until 11:00 pm this evening. Frequent gusts of 35 to 45 mph winds will be possible which, when combined with saturated grounds, will have the potential to bring down trees and power outages may result.
We have been in contact with JCP&L and they have activated their storm response system. If your home loses power, report your outage by calling 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877), clicking the “Report Outage” link on www.firstenergycorp.com, or by texting out to 544487.
If you have not done so already, please take the following preparedness steps:
- Secure any loose/light lawn or garden items.
- Keep all personal electronics and backup batteries charged.
- Gather flashlights and batteries.
- Plan and prepare for an outage at http://ready.nj.gov/plan-prepare/power-outages.shtml
Do not drive over or go near downed wires. Assume all downed wires are alive and dangerous. Report downed wires, trees or flooded roads to the Marlboro Division of Police at 732-536-0100. In case of emergencies, dial 911.
Prior updates are linked on the OEM webpage below. We will update you if/when needed. Stay safe.
