Route 520 – CONSTRUCTION ADVISORY – POLICE PRESENT

Monmouth County - Detours in Place

 

Tuesday, October 31 from 9am until 2pm, the Monmouth County Road Department will be working on Route 520 between Osprey Court and Big Brook Park It will be down to a single lane with both county flaggers and Marlboro Police on location. 

Wednesday, November 1 from 9am until l2pm Route 520 will be CLOSED at Route 79 and Route 520 and Route 520 and Boundary Road. Marlboro Police will be on location and a detour will be in place. Please avoid this area if possible. 

 

 

ROAD TO REMAIN OPEN – CONSTRUCTION ADVISORY – POLICE PRESENT

All construction from 7am until 5pm unless stated otherwise

Sandburg Drive – Tuesday (10/31) through Friday (11/3) construction crews will be working on Sandburg Drive and the adjoining cul de sacs performing drainage improvements, as directed. (Construction will conclude by 2:30pm on Halloween).

Harness and Meadow Lane - Monday (10/30) through Friday (11/3) from 7am-5pm, construction crews will be working on Harness Lane and Meadow Lane performing concrete curb and driveway apron restoration, where required, as well as the reconstruction of all ADA curb ramps within the project limits and drainage installations, as directed

Stone Lane, Windfall Lane, Anvil Court, and Forge Court - Monday (10/30) through Friday (11/3) from 7am-5pm, construction crews will be working on Stone Lane as well as Windfall Lane, Anvil Court, and Forge Court performing concrete curb and driveway apron restoration, where required, as well as the reconstruction of all ADA curb ramps within the project limits and drainage installations, as directed.  The reconstruction of all stormwater inlets will also be performed within the project limits.  

 

LLOYD ROAD WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT

UPDATE

Approximately 1,300 feet of existing water main on Lloyd Road between Route 79 and the Township border with Aberdeen has been replaced, including new valves, fire hydrants and customer service lines. The replacement of this critical infrastructure will provide for continued reliable service to all customers in the surrounding area, including several schools.

The water main replacement is now complete with minor site restoration on-going.  Interim paving repairs are scheduled to be performed the week of November 7, weather permitting, to provide a more even traveling surface.  Monmouth County is schedule to perform a full width road resurfacing of Lloyd Road from Route 79 to the Aberdeen Township border in the Spring/Summer of 2024.

UPCOMING – FUNDED IN PART BY NJDOT GRANT

 

Ryan Road (UPDATE) – The Ryan Road program bid has been awarded and was authorized by the Township Council on October 19. The project scope includes roadway resurfacing, reconstruction of drainage structures and other associated work in a 1.3 mile stretch of Ryan Road from Robertsville Road to State Highway 79. The contract has been awarded to Earle Asphalt Company in the amount of $959,013, offset by a $251,900 NJDOT grant secured by the Township. Work is scheduled to begin this fall, and notifications concerning access to the roadway and detours will be publicized 48 hours in advance.
