Coronavirus Update #20

Dear Resident,

TESTING

  • COVID-19 totals as of Friday, March 28, 2020- Statewide there were 1,082 new positives bringing the state total to 8,825. Monmouth County 634 positives and Marlboro 57.
  • New Jersey now has between 20-25 testing locations. You will not get tested if you are not symptomatic or meet criteria for testing. Please visit the State Hub website to do a symptom check prior to going to a testing site.
  • Saturday, 3/28 both Bergen and PNC sites are open ONLY to for symptomatic health care workers and first responders with valid credentials. Please note that this is for the First responder only.
  • Check the state website hub for revised testing schedules throughout the state. It is suggested that you complete the online symptom check before heading to a testing site.

VOLUNTEERS AND DONATIONS

  • Qualified health, mental health, and related professionals who wish to increase the state's healthcare capacity by treating seriously ill coronavirus patients should visit https://covid19.nj.gov/volunteer .
  • In Monmouth County Nurses who are willing to volunteer, can call the County COVID-19 hotline at 732-845-2070 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
  • State Donations - Residents who wish to donate personal protection equipment (PPE) should visit https://covid19.nj.gov/ppereport
  • Monmouth County Donations - Donations of PPE (are being accepted at Thompson Park, 805 Newman Springs Road, in Lincroft from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Monday through Friday. For additional information, or to arrange the drop-off of personal protective equipment, please call 732-842-4000, ext. 4312. The phone number is staffed every day, including weekends.   • Businesses and non-hospital health care facilities in possession of PPE not required for the provision of critical health care services, were required to submit their inventory to the State by yesterday at 5pm. If you have not done so go to, covid19.nj.gov/ppereport.

LOCAL AND OTHER

  • Mortgage payments – The State has been developing a plan and is expecting to have a program in place today.
  • Facebook Live - Sunday at 4pm I will doing a Facebook Live video to answer as many of your question as time permits. Please put ‘FB Question’ in the subject line and included your name and address in the body of the email. This will not be shared with the public.
  • Court – The New Jersey Court system is extending the suspension of court sessions through April 26. Individuals scheduled to appear before the Municipal Court to contest a traffic or parking ticket, or minor local ordinance violation, should not appear and await notice of a new court date.
  • If you believe an employer, organization, or entity is violating any part of Executive Order 107, you are required to report it to https://covid19.nj.gov/violation . Among other actions, Executive Order 107 requires non-essential retail businesses to close, mandates that all businesses or non-profits in the State, whether closed or open to the public, must accommodate their workforce, wherever practicable, for telework or work-from-home arrangements, the cancellation of all gatherings of individuals, such as parties, celebrations, or other social events.   • The State COVID-19 Information Hub, linked HERE is a vital resource for state residents with questions and concerns as well as job opportunities and state COVID-19 phone numbers and texting. To receive state alerts and stay informed, text NJCOVID to 898-211.

I again remind you that restaurants need our support. A list of Marlboro restaurants with delivery and pickup was sent in yesterday’s email and remains on line, on Facebook and is linked HERE.
